Tulips
Intricate arches and fillers on the tulips provide a contrast against the breezy texture of free motion “graffiti” style swirls, paisleys, and waves, in the navy negative space.
New Wave
Each row featured a different straight line quilting motif to highlight the heart shapes without distracting from the beautiful designs of Libs’s new fabric line, Mixtape.
Just Like Heaven
The straight line quilting enhances the movement of shapes in the grey background fabric. In some areas, I used more intricate, whimsical motifs to give focus and framing to shapes that emerge in the piecing.
